Review: Make Up Store Matt Foundation

I am a very, very fair gal. No, seriously I'm sort of white and glowing. Finding the right shade of foundation has always been a bit of a struggle. The only drugstore foundations that fit me are the ones from Revlon and Bourjois but they aren’t available here in Sweden... One of the first foundations I bought that matched me was Make Up Stores Liquid Foundation, it was way back in 2007, I think. Now when I’m a bit more on the oilier side (but still dry, it’s complicated) I decided to try the matt foundation. This is how Make Up Store describes the foundation:

“Non-oily foundation that gives medium coverage with a matte, smooth finish. Suitable for combination skin and oily skin.”

So, how’s the foundation? The colour range is quite nice, they have 13 shades so almost everyone should be able to find one that matches their skin colour. I can’t go a full day without setting it with powder but if I do it last all day. It covers without getting cakey; it’s matte but not flat. Overall it’s a really nice foundation. If you, like me, struggle with finding a foundation that's pale enough for you, go and have a look at Make Up Store's foundations and see if you find anything that floats your boat! If you're in London you can find Make Up Store in Westfield Shepherd's Bush/White City or at Carnaby Street!

It retails for £21 / 255 kr.
