MAC Studio Fix Fluid NW13 Review

In January I purchased the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NW13. My skin had been really weird and all of my foundations started to slide, yes slide, off my face after about 4 hours. So I wanted something that was matte, longwearing and pale. The lady at MAC matched me to a NW13, which is one of their new shades. I think I should’ve bought the NW10 instead because my chest is literally see-through naturally but this colour is just slightly off. I wish that they’d release them in NC13 and NC10 as well since I prefer my foundations to be slightly yellowy.

So, what do I think about the foundation? I didn’t have high hopes for it if I’m honest.  I have the MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation which I absolutely loathe but Studio Fix Fluid is the complete opposite, I love it. It gives me a satin finish, not dewy but not completely matte. It provides great coverage and most days I skip concealer. I can wear it all day without having to worry about looking like someone smeared butter all over my face and it hasn’t broken me out! The colour isn’t perfect as it isn’t as pale as I first thought. As you can see below it looks really similar to the NC15 and my previous foundation Revlon Colorstay is way paler so I’ll definitely give the NW10 a go when I run out of this, which should take a while since a little goes a long way.

It retails for 270kr/£20.50 (remember that you’ll have to buy the pump separately!)
